Dear Mr Leung and Mr Han,

Thanks very much for writing the book on myopia. Though I may not understand
every scientific detail in the book, your theory about the "vicious cycle"
caused by wearing "negative lenses" when one is young does seem very convincing
to me. My eight-year-old son took an eye test yesterday at an optometry centre
and his right eye was found to have 150 degree of short-sightedness. (His left
eye was okay.) I hope to try your recommended method on my son. He studies at
an international school and there is not much homework. But he is very
interested in reading. (He does not watch a lot of TV and is not a TV game
addict.) At school, he spends much time on worksheets, reading and using
computers. His eyes are therefore under quite a lot of stress. So I think
"positive lenses" can be the correct solution to his problem. Am I correct? If
he only has a pair of "positive lenses", he may have difficulties in seeing
distant objects, such as the black board in the classroom. What should we!
 /he do?

I don't know whether my optmetrist is willing to prescribe "positive lens" for
him. If he does not agree or does not know how to do it, can I bring him to
your centre? Please let me know where your practice is.

I would be most grateful if you could kindly give me some advice. Thanks a
million in advance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards
Adrian Cheung
